sortRaceMath duel game
Put the row in the required order — the match tells you which.
sortRace is a multiplayer math game with no calculating: you put numbers in order, ascending or descending – the direction is drawn at random. In a math duel online, this number game is about being faster than others – or you play it alone against the computer.
Example: Sort ascending: 9 14 2 18 6 Solution: Move 1: the 2 to the front → 2 9 14 18 6. Move 2: the 6 after the 2 → 2 6 9 14 18. Two moves is the minimum: whatever you leave untouched must already be in order, and here that is at most three numbers – 9, 14 and 18.
Levels: Level 1: 5 numbers from 1 to 20. Each further level adds two numbers and a higher upper limit: 40, 99, 199, 399, 699, and on level 7 it's 17 numbers up to 999, all different. About half of all pairs start in the wrong order, so no row starts almost sorted.
sortRace trains you to compare and place numbers quickly and to keep track of rows of up to 17 numbers.
How to play
Everyone plays on their own board – all get the same puzzle.
Order the row as it says above it – ascending or descending.
descending9742Drag onto the edge of a number: insert before or after it.
497→947Drag onto the middle: the two swap places.
497→794The first to finish ordering wins.
The higher the level, the more numbers on the board.
